A Norwegian expedition made the first ascent of the highest unclimbed peak in the Queen Maud Land area of Antarctica. Tollefsen was the Leader of first ascent of Ulvetanne and other peaks, Queen Maud Land 1994. First ascent of Ronde Spire, 1996-7, for which Tollefsen produced a similar handsome book.
A few years after this expedition, an American group went there and successfully made first ascents of some of the many other peaks yet unvisited. Jon Krakauer ''led'' the group which also included Alex Lowe, Gordon Wiltsie, Mike Graber, Rick Ridgeway and Conrad Anker. This was written up in the National Geographic Magazine in February 1998, for which we usually have copies available.
